The Healing of What I Tried to Kill

The Journey Back to My Art and My Truth – Part One

The Healing of What I Tried to Kill

The Chaotic Paint Drawer

It’s time. Far past time, actually. The need to make art is kicking itself out of the coffin that, barely alive, I had sealed it into long ago. By the time I stopped making art, it was a pathetic thing, and dying anyway, this “need”. So, how did I come to this place?

Coming Soon! Making Color

Coming Soon! Making Color

Oh, this is gonna be a lot of fun! I’m a hopeless color nerd, and a forever student of color. I’m creating a brand new site just for color theory. Plan on seeing posts ranging from techie stuff, to mixing the right color, and a few tutorials and demos, too!

Head on over to ColorTheory.rocks, and sign up for updates! You’ll love it, I promise!

There is also a plan under development to present an online Practical Color Theory and Mixing course.

Head over to ColorTheory.rocks and sign up for progress updates.

It’s the same course I offer from my studio and traveling workshops (at $300 per student), but way less expensive. There will be live chats, downloadable materials, assignment uploads, tests(!) to ensure you understand the concepts, and even a Leaderboard – the student with the most points wins something wicked-good.

Cool, huh?

Day One – The Pitch

I’m leaving his email intact, just in case any of you would like to bother my new “client”. I have an email encoder that cloaks all email addresses so that bots and scrapers (assholes who gather emails to spam/scam) can’t pick them up off my site. Except “Dale’s”. I excluded Dale’s. Please feel free to email Dale. I think he’s lonely.

It starts out believable – he’s actually mentioned a piece I have on my website, but there are tell-tale signs.

An Update on Whispering Eagle Studio Website

I’ll Be Posting Here Until My Site is Up and Running

I’ve been asked by many of my followers where Whispering Eagle Studio went. It hasn’t gone anywhere; it’s currently being redesigned. The problem is, that being a web designer / developer / graphic designer, my own site takes a backseat to those projects. I’m working on it when I can sneak in a few moments. I can’t say when it will be back up and running, but when it’s finally live again, look for some great changes. In the works are updated tutorials, new tutorials, new carvings (of course), and a couple of other surprises.

In the meantime, I’ll post the occasional tutorial here – carving, painting, color theory – until Whispering Eagle Studio is back up. This site will continue to be where I chronicle my (mis)adventures, thought processes while making my art, and will also be the place where I’ll present my other artworks. Whispering Eagle Studio will be dedicated solely my bird carvings.

I sincerely hope you would honor me by following both sites.

Keep Your Mind Open

It’s been a busy last couple days. Trying to get ahead on some stuff so there will be time to get a piece done for an upcoming party…er…Competition. So, needless to say, there’ve been some late evenings in the studio. Not stupid-crazy-hallucination-late-evenings, though. Music helps keep me alert.
